Therapy Success Story

Ruby A. was admitted to Edgewood Manor on 8/28/2018.

A customized rehabilitation program was implemented to address functional deficits related to the diagnosis of Laminectomy. After successfully completing the therapy program at Edgewood Manor, Mrs. Ruby was discharged home on 9/16/2018. Mrs. Ruby was a favorite of all the staff from the moment she arrived. Mrs. Ruby entered therapy as maximum assist with most functional activities, bed mobility, and transfers. She was quartered next to the therapy gym and could be heard counting along with and performing additional exercises even after her therapy was completed for the day. Her large and friendly family always had an encouraging word for her and any other resident or staff they encountered. Mrs. Ruby’s hard work paid off in that she gained much strength and functional independence during her stay. We hated to see her go, but wish her all good things to come.
